Gwyn can’t stop beating herself up for not coming home from her business trip to Singapore a day earlier as Tom had asked. Would he still be alive if she had? Gwyn’s grueling career had basically supported the family for the last decade, but Tom’s photography career was just taking off. He’d snagged a local gallery show and had been talking to an agent about a possible book photographing the root life of trees.
